The weather has been spectacular in Vancouver for the past week.  With a short week for Easter combined with Spring Break, I only had 2 days in the office last week. On both of those days I mixed it up in different ways.

Mixing Solids

The first was mixing colour. I layered two different purples, with a shot of mustard yellow.

Why a sweater when the weather is so lovely? Well, the air conditioning in my office is a bit confused, and it has been rather cold.

  • Dress - Nicole Bridger
  • Sweater - Eileen Fisher
  • Belt - Re-purposed leather from Nicole Bridger store
  • Shoes - Thrifted
  • Shell necklace - Gift (which can't really be seen in photos)

The weather was so sunny on this day, that you can hardly see my necklace, which was a big shell, gifted to me from a colleague years ago.  You can see a better representation of the colour of both of these items in my right hand sidebar from when I have worn them before.

Mixing Patterns

The next day was an early start so I grabbed a bit of a uniform. Whenever I am not sure what to wear I usually pick up my animal print cardigan. I will sometimes wear it with a black and white striped t-shirt, other times with a black and white striped scarf. Today I decided to wear it with both - and a 4th pattern in the pin stripe in my pants.

  • Animal print Cardigan - Ann Taylor
  • Striped T-shirt - Joe Fresh
  • Striped Scarf - Vintage from my own closet
  • Pin striped pants - Banana Republic
  • Shoes - Fluevog

I am once again linking up with Patti's Visible Monday at Not Dead Yet Style.
