I will admit that I wasn't bowled over by any of the outfits worn by the 40+ crowd to the Grammy awards. There were some lovely gowns of course.  And a lot more colour than the BAFTAs. But nothing that easily stood out as my favourite. There were, though, some great WOW! moments.

The Favourites

Rapper and President of the LA Chapter of the Recording Academy, MC Lyte looked so sexy yet elegant - with her hair bringing just a bit of edge to the outfit.  I love, love, love her necklace.

Kathy Griffin kept the accessories simple - with a great belt to accent the all over glitter of this LBD.

Adding a little bit of colour to the Favourite list is Shaun Robinson in this fab violet Mireille Dagher dress.

You will find some of the other dresses that I liked on my pinterest board - including Erica Atkins-Campbell,  Karen Fairchild and Joan Osborne.

WOW??!!

There were not really any disappointing outfits at the Grammy's, but a couple of heading shaking WOW outfits.

Lila Downs had all kinds of colour and pattern crazy going on.  And while she was evidently have a fabulous time the outfit distracted from her gorgeous smile.

Kate Pierson (of B52 fame) was true to her personal brand, but the super hero breast plate distracted from the great colour of the dress.

I will also admit to not loving Jennifer Lopez's dress, but other than being a blatant attempt at cloing Angelina's leg, it wasn't interesting enough to show here.   I also didn't love Faith Hill's outfit, or frankly her rather tight looking face.

 The Couples

LL Cool J and Simone Johnson looked smoking.  Him in a classic white tuxedo jacket and black tie. And her in a great pop of red.

Nicole Kidman shone in this golden lace dress with sheer skirt.  And Keith Urban looked his usual cool and relaxed.  They weren't a matchy couple, but they looked pretty great walking the Grammy carpet together.

Randy Jackson's guest looked fantastic in this full length navy blue lace peplum dress. I wish Randy's outfit looked as put together.

Eye Candy

Sting - enough said!

Although his performance with Bruno Mars last night does not match his 2007 Grammy award performance of Roxanne - in a vest.

Who was your favourite on the red carpet?  If there someone in my pinterest board that should have been shown on the blog - either good, bad or ugly?  Do you even care about the Grammy Awards?
