What I Wore for Junuary
Posted on June 26th, 2012 in Style, What I Wore
June has been rather like a Vancouver winter. Rain, cold and very little sunshine. So on the first day of the recent Northern Voice blogging conference, when the sun came out I pulled out a summer dress and sandals.
What I forgot in my excitement over the sun, was that it would likely be cool inside the conference centre. So my feet were a tad chilly. And of course the sun only last part of the day. And we were back to full Juneary by the next day.

... and you looked fabulous btw! sometimes you just need to give summer a little hint and say, s*d it to the rain in Vancouver

Amanda - How can I fault you for buying a good quality rain jacket in Vancouver? Especially when it was only $55. I am also assuming this is the first item of clothing you have bought new this year. Far better than my record.

LOL! I think it's one of the few newbies this year.

My neighbor was wearing a down vest and a wool toque last week in celebration of the first day of summer!! Always carry a shawl - this works for chill weather, wrapping up your feet in a conference room on an airplane, covering up from the sun to avoid burns and covering your leather jacket when a sudden downpour you weren't expecting hits! Store in your purse - always!
