40ish at the CFDA 2012
Another of my favourite fashion nights out. This time New York fashion hit the red carpet for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards. There are several things I love about this event. (1)Iis that we get to see what the designers wear and how they style themselves when they come out to play . And (2) this event is attended by a lot of established designers, who are mostly over 40.
The trends, were similar to the spring runways - white, menswear, bright colours, patterns, 70s and 20s... There was lots of distinct personal style. And others who made great dress choices that completely fit their style and personality and then made "safe" (read boring) accessory choices. One thing there wasn't was many "safe" LBDs.

Wow Linda Fargo. Kind of love her now. Padma also. Love the more eccentric choices of the older women!

So nice not to see all the women looking the same. Individually not all of them looked their best. But together they all looked fantastic.
