I know my husband has only just started to seriously think about what to get me for Christmas this year.  I made his life a bit easier this year by purchasing a DConstruct resin cuff and ring for myself, from him, at the One of a Kind Show.

The one in the front will be wrapped under the tree this year.

But I am hoping he also picks up one or two things for my stocking on his own.      So I put together a few suggestions, which could also provide ideas for people on your list... girlfriends, daughters, nieces, friends, etc.

Cooking Class

I emailed my husband the Rooted Nutrition Ethical Deal on Friday, for an organic seasonal cooking class.   Even without the deal, which expires on Sunday Dec 18, these classes at $55 are a great gift.  They also offer gift certificates for 6 classes at a discount.   The classes are 3 hours on a weekend, at 728 Main Street, and their January classes include - Ancient Grains (Jan 7),   Legumes (Jan 15), Gluten Free Baking (Jan 21) and Kitchen Herbalism (Jan 22).   More info at wholefoodscooking. ca

Some of my husband's home made pizza

Since I got my Kobo e-reader last year (have since switched my Kobo account to download to my HTC Flyer and my Kobo e-reader will be re-gifted this holiday) I have rediscovered my love of reading.  I've taken a bit of a break since I finished Game of Thrones series in September, although I did fly through The Guernsay Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society in a weekend in October.   But now I'm looking for some new reading.  Kobo allows you to buy books as a gift for someone or to send an eGift Card so they pick their own reads.   Recommendations from my reading minded, never failed me yet, twitter friends include:

Fashion Books

40plusstyle recently posted a list of style books as Gift Ideas for Christmas. I want almost everybook on her list. But The Body Shape Bible, by Trinny & Susannah is at the top of my list.  (BTW if you are over 40 and not reading  Sylvia's blog get over there now - you can thank me later).  This book is not available in e-reader format.  But it is the kind of book I'd probably keep in the bookshelf in my bedroom anyways. With easy access when getting dressed.   It is also currently on sale at Indigo.

Food Books

I like a good food porn recipe book as much as the next girl.  My current food obsession is Jamie Oliver. I love his passion for cooking. I love his passion for feeding our kids, and ourselves, better food.  I love his easy to cook, fun and fast dinner recipes.  His Meals in Minutes is not yet available in an e-book format. But frankly it isn't too difficult to have Jamie sitting on my kitchen counter.

Vancouver Opera Tickets

Both Aida and Barber of Seville will be playing in Vancouver this spring.  Two of my favourites.  Two tickets, for me and a friend. Or better yet, a date night to either of these Operas would be a win. Date and ticket info is here.

Knitting Stuff

I am learning how to knit. Currently using borrowed needles and instruction from a friend.  If I love it, which I seem to be, a few more tools might be useful.  What I might need?  No idea really.

What is on your last minute Christmas gift wish list?

Full Disclosure - I am not an affiliate with Indigo or Kobo at this time. So clicking on any of the above links will not benefit me in any way.   If that changes in the future I will be sure to update everyone right here.
