Seattle shopping
Posted on September 01st, 2010 in Experiences in fashion
Heading down to Seattle with my Mom for a couple of days - well actually heading to seattle to pick up my Mom and then doing some shopping.
The items on my shopping list:
- Black converse - still on my list since the stylist helped me with the wardrobe intervention
- Trouser jeans - also still on the list since spring, but I didn't see much point in looking for them during the summer
- An animal print top or sweater - I love a touch of animal print and it is big for fall, I'm thinking a cardigan, but we'll see.
I'll also be keeping my eye out for dresses. Something dressier than can become a classic in my closet for years to come. And of course I always love great fall day dresses.

Is there a Loft in Seattle by any chance (would make me so happy)? I am sure that Anthropology will have a sweet animal print cardi for you!

There was a Loft close to our hotel on 6th (near University or Pike). Didn't find anything at Anthropology, but got a great animal print cardi at Ann Taylor.

I think Converse sneakers look cute on other people, but I just can't personally do them justice. I had a younger sister that went through a punk/grunge phase in the late 80s 90s. I can't get over the image of her daily uniform of mohawk hairstyle, no bra and chucks. : ) Plus, I can't dismiss the clown factor.

Thanks for commenting. It is interesting that I never wore Converse when I was young. I always wanted to, but somehow was never able to pull them off. I was more of a Doc Marten kind of girl. Today they fit my life with a small toddler really well - and the black ones aren't nearly as flashy as the neon pink ones I saw on the street in Seattle.
