FMA Fashion Week Awards
Sunday I dragged my migraine out for a little socializing at the FMA Fashion Week Pop Culture Festival Awards Gala. A hair brush, LBD, great shoes and a quick Amaretto and 7-Up and I was ready to face the fashion élite.
FMA is a fashion, music and arts show on KVOS (airs Saturday nights). The Fashion Week really is an extravaganza of fashion, shopping, fabulous food, art and music. Plus proceeds go to The Sarah McLachlan Foundation (talk about squeezing a lot into a week). The gala was held at Club 560 (run by the same owners as the down closed Richard's on Richards). It was strange to enter a club, as I get out to them so rarely these days. But I will admit the co-ed bathrooms were a kick.
Fashion designer RozeMerie Cuevas, who is celebrating 25 years in business, dancer and figure skater Emanuel Sandhu, singer Elise Estrada and ballerina Chan Hon Goh were all honoured for their achievements in fashion, art and music.
The event ends tonight with a fashion show featuring Queen of Jeans by Rocio Garcia, and Malene Grotrian Design. Check here for ticket info.
What I Wore...
As a former figure skater and a lover of dance I was pleased to see Emanuel Sandu honoured. He interpreted the pop culture theme of the night by wearing his pop culture hero Andy Warhol on his cravat.
Regular readers on my blog know how much I love Jacqueline Conoir Collection. I tried to get a photo of Rozemerie in her fantastic black dress and high black boots, but the lighting wasn't great. And I had a head ache. So below are some picture of her, and some of the collection from the fall winter launch last April.
Photos are my own and JC Studio.
